Head Office Relocation

Challenge

The client needed to relocate 3000 staff from multiple locations to their new HQ building. They also needed to decommission one of their other core sites and return it to the landlord. The timescales were aggressive, the scale was unprecedented and there were multiple complicating factors.

Solution

We significantly scaled up the dedicated team; took ownership of the project, particularly the complex elements; ensured large presence on site to floor-walk.

Outcome

The new HQ successfully opened with relocated staff. The largest weekend move consisted of 1500 staff being relocated, with 1500 approx. being moved in subsequent months. Redsixty received specific thanks from the client for ensuring a seamless transition for staff.

Network Transformation Programme

Challenge

The client needed to refresh their aging IT infrastructure. They wanted to upgrade circuits across their estate and ensure each site met corporate standards. Their remote sites performed a wide range of different services and functions. Delivering this programme with such complexity and scale represented their largest single IT change to date.

Solution

We provided a dedicated team of Project Managers, surveyors, installation engineers, electricians, cabling engineers and site supervisors to ensure end-to-end ownership.

Outcome

We ensured that roughly 100 sites have been transformed over the past two years, and corporate standards have been applied across the estate. Maintaining and servicing the IT estate is now manageable, and the client has engaged Redsixty to deliver a rolling assurance programme to assist in reducing ongoing/future costs.

Challenge

IT had no visibility of 3rd party works across their large and complex estate, resulting in uncontrolled installations and Health and Safety hazards. Many remote sites had specific access requirements, and distances between them which meant that IT staff can’t regularly visit all IT locations. They needed a team to monitor remote sites and make recommendations to their central IT team.

Solution

We provided a dedicated team with relevant training, qualifications and competencies to access all remote site locations. This team owned all site liaison, access, auditing and reporting.

Outcome

Changes at remote sites were captured enabling the client to impose new measures to standardise processes and manage their estate more closely and effectively.

Challenge

The network at the head office of City of London Police was re-designed, which required full remediation and replacement of comms cabinets. They needed a security-cleared team to work closely with all stakeholders to deliver the works within aggressive timescales in readiness for a meeting of heads of state.

Solution

We provided security-vetted PMs and engineers to efficiently and securely deliver the project.

Outcome

The team engaged with and worked alongside various security organisations. The intrusive works were delivered on schedule, fully tested and signed off in time to ensure a safe and secure VIP summit.
